Leak is an application originally developed by Det Norske Veritas for calculating the
frequency of leaks in process equipment. It calculates the leak frequencies
for sets of equipment, segments, areas and installations from the base element
data. The output can be used to provide important information on which parts of
the plant or which types of equipment are most likely to generate leaks. This
information can then be used to predict risk levels.
ESSCo were responsible for redesigning and the user interface and most of
the data storage mechanisms for Leak.
