A major new application, DataGen has been built for a specific client for the purposes of generating data from refinery models for LP planning purposes. This application was developed under Windows NT and involved mixed programming in C++, C and FORTRAN. The application enables a smooth transition of responsibilities, models and data from the process engineer who models the refinery to the refinery planner who generates data for various planning scenarios and runs the LP.
