Several projects have been undertaken involving building process and/or fluid flow simulation models to represent a client’s processes. Regardless of the modelling tools used, be these engineering application packages or computer systems packages these projects require a high degree of client interaction, significant process engineering and computing skills and the ability to win the trust and confidence of the client.

Large scale steady-state process simulation models have been built for an ethylene plant, gas plants, numerous off-shore platform processes, NGL plant and solvent recovery plants, etc.. Several models have also been built which accept real-time data and apply data reconciliation to these data prior to passing the reconciled data onto further applications. Complete models of North Sea oil and gas distribution pipelines have been built and delivered. Several of these models have been interfaced to the end-user using MS Excel, MS Access, Gensym’s G2 or similar.
